Achieving all of this was a huge factor in building my confidence as a stylist, and as a person. However, it was becoming a Scottish finalist in the L'Oreal Colour Trophy in 2011— and again in 2014— that boosted my career and led to my decision to move to London in search of new challenges.
Over the past six years, I have worked in four salons across different areas of London, from Bermondsey to a high-end salon in Pimlico, with a number of celebrity clients. Each salon had a varied clientele, which has helped me to understand the range of qualities that people in London are looking for in a stylist. Starting my own hairdressing business marks a very exciting new chapter in my life, and I am excited to establish a new loyal fan base, to match the one I left behind in Glasgow.
